Where we are in the process

Home study is all done and now our books are out to the social workers.  This is the waiting part.  We have turned in enough documents to build a forest and I crafted a personal profile about our family on Shutterfly (highly recommend).  So now we wait for a birth mother to choose us.  We are working with an agency that we used before, which will show our books to birth mothers who match our comfort profile.  I do not care if its a boy or a girl!  (Although my child keeps praying for a baby sister).  Adoptive parents are usually chosen when the birth mother is 6 months prego or more.  There’s also drop in mothers-those are the in the minority..but was the case for us the first time around.  Once we are matched and the baby is born, the birth mother then has a time period  in which she could change her mind.  Its different in every state.  Then if all goes well, within a few months the adoption gets finalized in court and we become the legal parents. Thats like the super brief summary of how it works.  Its actually a pretty tedious process, but I wouldn't change it for the world.  It is all worth it.
Anyway, thats kinda where we are and where we are headed.  Just praying.
